Frequently Asked Questions

The Clinical High Risk Program (CHiRP) is a research and clinical initiative founded in 2018 by psychiatrists from Razi and Mongi Slim Hospitals in collaboration with UCLA. It focuses on early detection, prevention, and care for youth at risk of developing severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Adolescents and young adults between the ages of 14 and 30 who may be at risk of developing severe mental illnesses.

Severe mental illnesses are often preceded by a prodromal phase. Identifying and supporting at-risk individuals early can improve long-term outcomes and, in some cases, prevent the progression to more severe disorders.

CHiRP provides comprehensive mental health services, including thorough screening, evaluation, and diagnosis through clinical interviews and psychological testing. We also offer a range of non-pharmacological interventions such as psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and cognitive remediation.
