Biography

Dr. Amine Larnaout, M.D. is a psychiatrist and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Razi University Hospital in Tunisia. He has been actively involved in research since his residency, including a Tunisian-French collaboration on immunopsychiatry from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, he helped launch the Clinical High Risk Program (CHiRP) in Tunisia, in partnership with UCLA and Dr. Joseph Ventura. Since then, he has focused on raising awareness and training clinicians in the early detection of clinical high-risk states. From 2018 to 2024, over 220 early-career psychiatrists were trained under this initiative, with more than 80 receiving advanced instruction in tools like CAARMS and SCID-5. Dr. Larnaout is committed to supporting Tunisian youth experiencing psychological distress, with the aim of restoring well-being and full functioning.
