Dr. Zeineb Abbes, M.D. is a child and adolescent psychiatrist based at Razi University Hospital in Tunis, Tunisia. Her work focuses on cognitive training and the improvement of thinking skills in children and adolescents with mental health difficulties. Dr. Abbes and her team adapted a cognitive remediation program originally developed by Dr. Til Wykes in the United Kingdom, translating and culturally tailoring it for use in Arabic and French under the name HappyNeuron. Her research has centered on implementing and evaluating these cognitive training programs for Tunisian youth experiencing challenges in school and social settings. Dr. Abbes continues to contribute to the Clinical High Risk Program (CHiRP) at Razi Hospital, particularly through the integration of cognitive training interventions into early mental health care.
